The Executive Team:
Walter E. Dennis, Jr., President & Chief Executive Officer
Walter E. Dennis, Jr. provides organizational vision and direction for HFI, LLC. He is known throughout the company for his commitment to his employees, customers and community. After graduating from Bowling Green State University in 1973 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Mr. Dennis joined his family business: The House of Foam. In 1980, Mr. Dennis purchased the outstanding stock in the company, and after several administrative changes, the organization is now known as HFI, LLC. Mr. Dennis has led the company from the furniture industry into the automotive industry. HFI is a successful Tier 2 original equipment supplier to the US Automotive Industry with an almost exclusive emphasis on the Japanese New Domestic sector.
Neil Fillman, Chief Financial Officer
Neil has been with HFI since 1997 serving as the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all of HFI’s financial activity. Previously, Mr. Fillman served as Vice President of Operations at Electronics Marketing Corporation. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand as a Senior Auditor. Mr. Fillman is a CPA and also a graduate of Marietta College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Jorge Veloz, Chief Operating Officer
Jorge has been with HFI since 2000. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Veloz’s main responsibility is to maintain efficient and profitable operations that produce quality products while continuously improving manufacturing processes. Mr. Veloz previous roles within HFI included V.P. Mexico Operations as well as General Manager of HFI – Obregon where he was responsible for HFI’s largest facility and workforce. Prior to joining HFI, Mr. Veloz was the Plant Manager at Condumex, a wire & cable manufacturer in Queretaro, Mexico. He has also held positions at Conductores Latincasa, Phelps Dodge International Corporation, Lexus Computers, and Act Technology Corporation. Mr. Veloz earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico Regional in San Luis Potosi, Mexico
Kurt Stuckenbrock, Vice President of Sales
Kurt attended Tulane University in New Orleans earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Language with a Psychology Minor in 1998. After college, Kurt worked as a Group Sales Representative for Sun Life Financial in the New Orleans Group Office. In the summer of 2000, Kurt moved to Columbus where he began working at HFI as a Sales Coordinator. From 2007 to 2011, Kurt transitioned into the role of Senior Sales Lead managing the TS Tech account and other key customers including developing the Heavy Truck business segment including nearly $60 million of incremental and replacement awards. In 2011 Kurt was promoted to Corporate Sales Manager with direct reporting responsibility to the Executive Committee. This transition included management responsibility for all Sales Leads, Program Management and administrative staff. In 2013, Kurt was promoted to Vice President of Sales with formal authority reaching into the Executive Committee.
Tony Callander, Vice President of Human Resources
Tony has been with HFI since 2002. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Kenyon College in 1999, Tony worked in social work and the telecommunications industry prior to joining HFI as a Sales Coordinator in 2002. In 2004 he was promoted to the position of Corporate Human Resources Manager and given responsibility over the personnel and organizational development of HFI’s staff and associates. During his tenure with HFI, Tony earned his Master of Labor and Human Resources Management Degree from The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business in 2005. In 2014, Tony was officially named the Vice President of Human Resources and is a member of the Executive Committee.
Takao Okamoto, Vice President of Marketing
Takao “Frank” Okamoto has been with HFI since 2011, serving as the Vice President of Marketing. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Optical Engineering from Tokai University in Tokyo, Japan in 1975, Frank joined the automotive industry. Frank worked at Isuzu Motors Ltd., for over 30 years gaining experience in R&D, Sales, Marketing, Quality Control, and Operations Management. He is in charge of future business prospects and current business communications with the top Japanese management of HFI’s customers.
